John is a global industry analyst and portfolio manager on Wellington Management’s technology sector team, covering communication equipment and components and networking and storage companies while also managing technology sector equity portfolios and hedge funds. Prior to joining the firm in 1994, he was a research analyst at Eaton Vance, and before that, he worked in the computer industry as a hardware design engineer at Data General. John earned an M.S. from MIT, a B.S. from Cornell University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
